D-2 (Study) Visa

Every degree-seeking international student should have a D-2 (Study) visa for their study. If students entered into Korea with a different visa (e.g., C-3, D-4, etc.), they should change their visa status to D-2 before the start of the semester.

All international students residing abroad and having been accepted to study at UOU will need to apply for a student visa(D-2) at the Korean embassy or consulate of the Republic of Korea to their countries, with following documents and fees:

  1. Valid Passport and a copy of it
  2. Application form for Visa Issuance
  3. Visa Processing Fee
  4. 2 passport-size photographs (3.5cm x 4.5cm)
    • Taken within the last 6 months
    • White background
  5. Certificate of Admission(COA) and Business Registration Certificate of University
  6. Medical check-up record for Tuberculosis(changed as of 2020.04.01.)
    • Nationals from the following countries are required to submit a medical check-up report, including the examination for tuberculosis, issued by their neighborhood public health center : (35 countries) China, Sri Lanka, Russia, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Nepal, East Timor, Indonesia, Pakistan, Mongolia, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Laos, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Nigeria, South Africa, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Angola, Peru, Papua New Guinea
  7. Additional documents
    (Certificate of most recent scholastic achievement, Certificate of bank balance, etc.)
