On-campus housing is the most convenient place for students to live while studying at any university. The UOU dormitories provide a safe and comfortable living environment and enable students to enjoy being close to classrooms, library, cafeteria, and Sports Center. UOU residential halls consist of 2 men's and 2 women's dormitory buildings, and International dormitory for international students supervised by staff on a 24/7 basis.
The Asan Library
Asan Library has approximately 1 million books and references. The library also contains 29 sets of Web DBs which enable professors and students to get access to tens of thousands electronic journals (e-journals) and periodicals of most academic fields. The Asan Library is the largest and the oldest in Ulsan with more than 1,100 daily visitors. It can accommodate up to 2,500 visitors at a time and also offers services to local residents.
The Asan Sports Center
Asan Sports Center, which was named after the founder of the University, opened in 2005. The center of 11,550m² has an international-standard swimming pool with 8 (eight) 50-meter lanes, 24 indoor golf ranges, a basketball court, a fitness center and an exercise room. The center serves the UOU students for reduced rates, and it is also open to the local residents.
The Industry-Academia Convergence Campus
UOU has a separate, special-purpose campus in addition to the main one, called the 'Industry-Academia Convergence Campus.' It is designed to facilitate field-oriented academy-industrial cooperation by bringing UOU, local companies and government-funded R&D centers together in the Ulsan Techno-Industry Complex. The campus opened in 2018.
The UOU College of Medicine has provided advanced medical education and clinical services since 1988 in close collaboration with the affiliated hospitals - the Asan Medical Center, and the Ulsan University Hospital(UUH). AMC is Korea’s most prestigious and the largest hospital with 2,700 beds, and ranked top in Korea for the number of surgeries related to cancer and organ transplantation, standing on an equal footing with leading hospitals worldwide.
The Botanical Garden
The botanical garden is one of the specialties that the University of Ulsan has been proud of. It has a greenhouse and an outside botanical garden, covering an area of 992㎡ and 5,500㎡ each. A wide range of diverse plant life flourishes in the garden. At present, the botanical garden holds 200 species in the greenhouse and 100 species in the outdoor garden. The garden was modeled after the famous Jeju Yeomiji Botanical Garden. The botanical garden of the University of Ulsan is a place where visitors can meet greenness in all seasons rain or shine.
The Global Lounge
The Global Lounge, located on the second floor of the International Building, is a cultural hub where students – domestic and international – meet, socialize and make friends through diverse social events and programs. Since its opening in September 2010 the Global Lounge has been the most popular place on campus for students to promote global cultural diversity. The Global Lounge also offers a range of services to international students. The Career Development Center
The mission of the UOU Career Development Center is to foster excellence in career preparation for students. It offers a wide range of services to assist students with their future careers and career exploration. The Career Development Center can help you explore careers and occupations, match your interests with viable careers, learn about available training programs, prepare for a job interview, write a cover letter, resume, or portfolio, and find employment or internship.
